Hi! I am an Assistant Professor of Public Policy & Economics at the University of Virginia. In my work, I combine tools from economics and Earth science to answer questions related to health, policy, and our management of the global commons.

I earned my PhD in Sustainable Development at Columbia University’s School of International & Public Affairs and Earth Institute, then did a postdoc at Stanford’s Center on Food Security and the Environment. During my PhD, I worked as a staff economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisers, where I focused on environmental policy.

Before that, I earned a BA in Political Economy and a Master of Public Policy at UC Berkeley. I also worked at Habitat for Humanity, USAID, and NextGen Policy on housing, global development, and energy policy.
